IOTA's Product Passport Will Allow Consumers To Track The Origin And History Of Their Vehicles, Increasing Trust In Brands

IOTA is currently working on a new collaboration with Eviden, a subsidiary of Atos, on the Eviden Digital Passport Solution (EDPS), supported by IOTA. EDPS is one of the first DLT-based digital product passports (DPPs) on the market and the first at this scale to use IOTA technology. It provides detailed information about the product life cycle, increasing transparency, traceability and sustainability.

Eviden is a leader in computing, security, artificial intelligence and digital platforms with cross-industry expertise in more than 47 countries. The collaboration with the IOTA Foundation is expected to have a significant impact on automobile manufacturers such as Tesla, Audi, Porsche, BMW and Volkswagen.

The partnership will increase transparency and traceability in their supply chains and allow consumers to track the origin and history of their vehicles, increasing trust in brands. At the same time, manufacturers can optimize their production processes, streamline maintenance and improve recycling processes.
